The Gospel of Matthew presents Jesus as the true Messiah born of a virgin woman to save people from their sins (1:21). Jesus is presented in this Gospel as the fulfillment of the Old Testament Scriptures (the formula “to fulfill” occurs 10 times; Mark L. Strauss, Four Portraits, One Jesus p-218).

Promise 4: And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward. Matthew 10:42
Promise 5: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
Promise 6: Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Matthew 18:18.
Promise 7: If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. Matthew 21:22
