12 It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in regard to the things that have now been announced to you through those who brought you good news by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven—things into which angels long to look! 1 Peter 1:12
History is His-story. It is the unfolding of the story of redemption of people by Jesus Christ. The glorious event of the mysterious plan of salvation in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ was predicted and fulfilled right before the eyes of men. All the prophecies that were predicted from the times of Moses down to the prophet Malachi were for the sake of the believers in the new covenant. They prophesied not for themselves but the new covenant believers who would receive the gospel of Christ. So also, the prophecies that concerns the eschatological blessings are so glorious and magnificent that even the angels long to look into!
The writer does not specifically mention as to what that revelation will be. But he paints the immensity and propensity of the things that are yet to be revealed when Christ comes again (as to how even the supernatural beings desire to peek into!).
