13 Therefore prepare your minds for action; discipline yourselves; set all your hope on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when he is revealed. 1 Peter 1:13

With the view of the greatness of the blessings that are yet to be revealed, the believers are challenged to take up necessary discipline of the mind. The mind is the deciding ground for all the actions that a person carries out. Our minds tend to wander easily into the petty affairs of this world and lose sight of a bigger perspective of God’s vision for us. It is to re-arrange our thought processes to set all our hope on the coming grace that will ultimately be revealed in Christ Jesus.

Christians are not to be unorganized and lazy. They need to set their minds in the right perspective. Apostle Peter calls for Christians to look to the future glory in Christ and be geared up to do things that are holy and worthy of reward. He reminds the Christians to look beyond the temporary passing world of suffering and pain and not lose hope in God’s promise of restoration and grace.
