Although you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, for you are receiving the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls. 1 Peter 1:8-9

Another evidence of a genuine faith is loving Christ and rejoicing in the salvation that will be revealed at Christ’s return. An illumined soul can rejoice that he is bound for heaven. The shackles of sin and death is broken through the power of the cross. Now, he looks to the day of his resurrected state and fills the heavenly joy that transcends all human understanding and knowledge. He can confidently and joyfully go through pain and suffering knowing that it is but for only a little time. The broken and beaten soul is no longer chained by unceasing grief and regrets, it joyfully accepts the tribulations that comes his way having the complete assurance that his soul is safe in the hands of God.
