“It is we who extol the LORD, both now and forevermore.” Praise the Lord.
Only the living has this privilege of praising God. We, who are alive, physically and in the Lord, ought to raise our voices in praise and jubilation for His goodness and mercy. Praising the Lord now is a prelude to the songs that will follow in the age to come. Praise and adoration should be an enthusiastic response to the Lord in gratitude and honour. A dead and mundane worship to the living God should be avoided. He deserves the best of our praise. We praise God to become more like Him. It is in praising Him that we realize more of His nature towards his creation.
Prayer: Lord, teach my heart to praise you always, Amen.
