“I lie down and sleep; I wake again, because the LORD sustains me.”
I can’t help but think of Psalm 139:2 where David says, “you know when I sit and when I rise;” which points to God’s omnipresence. Here in the text, we get the reason for “why” humans are alive and well today! The fact that we are breathing and moving has a connection to God’s goodness and sustenance. We can lie but never sleep and we can sleep but never wake again if it was not for God. This verse proves that God is orchestrating every bits and pieces of our life and He deserves to be praised in all and every circumstances of our life.
