Psalm 6:5
Among the dead no one proclaims your name. Who praises you from the grave?
Praises and proclamation are the two works that can be done while we are alive. These are two characteristics that mark the souls of one who is alive and well in God. The dead does not have the power to proclaim the goodness or salvation of God. No one expects a dead corpse to praise God!
God loves to be praised and proclaimed. Without God’s power, humans do not have the desire to praise Him. Without God’s spirit, humans are rendered lifeless and incapable to lift their hands and hearts to Him. It is the Spirit that brings life to dead corpse to sing and declare the glorious name of God.
Prayer: Bring the dead souls to life that they may declare and praise your glorious name, amen.
