“Whenever God slew (kill) them, they would seek him; they eagerly turned to him again”
The Israelites fell in great numbers at the hand of their God. It was their disobedience that stirred the vengeance of God.
God is love and just. He doesn’t bypass sins. He acts with equity and justice.
Human heart, who can trust? Today, you are totally devoted to God and come tomorrow; you’re dabbling in all the sinful carnal indulgences. Human heart has a strong tendency to stray and wander.
It is in those times that God brings obstacles and hurdles on our path to help us remember and look to the heavens again.
Remember, if you “seek Him” and eagerly turned to Him daily, there is life and peace. Apart from him, death and dearth prevails!
Prayer: Let my heart seek and desire you and you alone, my Lord and my God, Amen.
